Alicia Morgan

Immigration Lawyer and Owner

Mrs. Alicia Morgan, the founder of Immigration Lawyers USA LLC, is the great-granddaughter of Irish and German immigrants and a first-generation attorney from a humble, middle-class family in Kentucky. Ms. Morgan obtained her law license in the state of Kentucky, and she currently zealously represents immigrants in all 50 states and around the globe practicing all areas of federal immigration and nationality law. Mrs. Morgan is dedicated to representing the immigrant community nationwide in affirmative family and employment-based petitions before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and before U.S. Consulates worldwide. Further, Ms. Morgan zealously defends her clients at USCIS interviews and in deportation proceedings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) and all U.S. Immigration Courts. In addition, she defends her clients’ rights in appeals to the EOIR, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Immigration Lawyers USA practice is limited to immigration law, the firm's specialty.

A woman with a “Latin heart,” Mrs. Morgan is fluent in Spanish and English and conversational in Portuguese. Even though neither of her parents had finished more than an Associate’s Degree, Mrs. Morgan decided at 13 years old that she wanted to be a lawyer because she wanted to help people, and she knew the clients she wanted to serve would be immigrants as soon as she started learning Spanish at 15 years old. She graduated at the top of her high school class with a perfect 4.0 G.P.A., eager to change the world. She went on to earn a double Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Print Journalism at Murray State University in Kentucky for her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude and twice winning awards for being the Best Spanish Student in the Modern Language Department. Finally, Mrs. Morgan earned her Juris Doctor in 2009 from West Virginia University College of Law, where she helped clients as a WVU Immigration Law Clinic student attorney and the International Law Student Association vice president. She lived in Kentucky and Texas before settling down in beautiful Miami, Florida, where she loves serving her clients from all nationalities. Mrs. Morgan takes pride in providing individualized service and maintaining a high success rate.

She is experienced in complex family-based applications, citizenship, and marriage fraud defense; unlawful presence, crime and fraud waivers; removal defense, including cancellation of removal for non-legal permanent residents and for legal permanent residents, asylum, adjustment of status and prosecutorial discretion; crime victim cases, including the U visa and VAWA; TPS, DACA, and Tourist visa applications; and most employment-based applications, including E2, EB-5, H1-B, L-1, O-1, P-1, and PERM applications.

Mrs. Morgan is an active member of the South Florida Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), currently serving as a member of the Continued Legal Education committee, and she has previously served on the New Members Division committee, the Unauthorized Practice of Law committee, the American Immigration Counsel committee, and a Vice Chair of the CLE committee. She also serves on the Immigration Law Section Young Lawyers Division committee of the Federal Bar Association and volunteers at her local church, Harvest Miami.

In her free time, she enjoys boating, SCUBA diving, hiking, reading and spending time with her husband and two children.
